The Story
Judy Bekker is writer and a keeper of stories. She is a facilitator, mentor, mother and grandmother with over forty years’ experience guiding people through some of life’s most meaningful transitions. From leadership and relationship mentoring to wilderness solo fasting and rites of passage, her work blends deep wisdom with practical tools. Featured on television and radio, Judy’s first book, Calling the Daughters, sold world-wide and won a best Indie Book Award (BIBA) in 2023. The book is part memoir and guide with actionable steps to help women reclaim the sacred in everyday life. Her second contribution - Meeting Mountain, Vision Questing in South Africa, has been described as a 'stirring and inspiring book' and a 'high quality ecological thesis.'
Through her work and mentorship, she continues to encourage and inspire us to deepen our relationships with wild places, the natural world and each other.
